WHAT TO DO IN OSLO?

Here is our quick guide to Oslos popular attractions, useful touristy tips, public transportation, restaurants & bars, and hostels/hotels.

GOOD RESTAURANTS

If you feel like eating asian food, we recommend checking out these places:

  • Koie Ramen.

  • Hrimnir Ramen.

  • For sushi, we highly recommend going to Sabi Sushi. Hands down the best sushi in Oslo. A little bit expensive, but it's worth it.

  • If you want cheaper asian fusion meal, try Sumo restaurants.

  • Dim Sum by Taste of China. Super nice restaurant if you want to try Dim Sums! Amazing customer service.

If you feel like eating italian:

  • Lofthus Samvirkelag. They have pizzerias all over Oslo. Just google them and go to the closest one. Recommend trying their beef or raindeer pizza.

  • Trattoria Popolare. Amazing italian place! Their pasta is pasting!

If you want something Spanish:

  • La Sangria. Authentic Spanish food. Their tapas is delish!

  • TXOTX. Pintxos Bar.


If you feel like eating burgers:

  • Kverneriet. Amazing burgers!

  • Illegal Burger

If you want something Norwegian (and you like fish)

  • Fiskeriet. Super good mussels!

  • Aquarie. Fancy. Nice interior.

  • Fjord (a bit pricey, but is very nice here!)

If you're vegetarian or just don't feel like eating meat

  • Nordvegan.

  • Cultivate Food.

  • KUMI.


If you don't know what to eat, but you still want to try something go to the food court. There are several of them in Oslo, some of them are located in shopping centers:

  1. Oslo Street Food Market

  2. Barcode Street Food

  3. Mathallen (the best food court in Katya's opinion!)

  4. Vippa. (super nice in the summer!)

  5. Steen and Strøm shopping center. Go to the bottom floor and you'll find a small food court there.

  6. Paleet Food hall.


 



COCKTAIL BARS


  • Svanen. The building is listed as a cultural heritage and one of the best preserved intact venue interiors from the late 1800s. Top 100 best bars in the world.

  • Torggata Botaniske

  • Himkok. Top 50 best bars in the world.

  • Aku-Aku tiki bar.

  • Dr. Jekylls. If you love good cocktails and whiskey, then this is a place for you!
